    Manufacturing Engineer Broken Arrow, OK

    Da/Pro Rubber is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for our Broken Arrow, OK facility.  As part of the engineering team, the Manufacturing Engineer assists in the design, continuous improvement, and support of the molding process.  The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver capable of communicating to all areas of the company to gather relevant information and utilize that information to effectively and efficiently formulate conclusions.

    Job Duties

    • Verify the mold process for multiple thermoset rubber processes;
    • Support Continuous Quality Improvement including mold process improvement, and Lean implementation and planning;
    • Approve process changes and customer drawing changes;
    • Document processes as required for ISO 9000/13485, operator training, and company standards;
    • Design experiments to determine the root cause of issues and potential solutions
    • Create FMEA’s;
    • Approve mold designs, as appropriate;
    • Support Corrective Action/Preventive Action processes;
    • Interact with customers;
    • Conduct Installation/Operation/Process Qualifications
    • Responsible for design and build of fixturing and support equipment to make production of parts more efficient

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelors of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Understanding of relevant drafting and documentation standards.
    • Competency in the use of statistics in a manufacturing environment, specifically standard deviation, normal distributions, and process capability measures.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience in a precision machine shop.
    • PLC programming and automation experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience with compression and transfer molding or thermoset injection molding.

    Machine Operator/Inspector Newburyport, MA

    Responsibilities and Duties

    The essential job duties of the Machine Operator/Inspector include:

    • Manual operation of injection molding machines according to specific manufacturing document instructions;
    • Recording molded part quantities on the job traveler and into the job tracking system;
    • Reporting of any quality or mechanical issues;
    • Inspection of parts for defects or non-conformance and any associated documentation;
    • Weighing production batches to obtain quantities;

    Manual Machinist Tulsa, OK

    Da/Pro Rubber is searching for a Manual Machinist to become part of our mold making team. Our machinists fabricate tools and molds for use in our component production. The ideal candidate for this machinist position will know their way around a tool shop, be able to read and accurately interpret prints and specifications and be a team player.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Studying blueprints, sketches, electronic drawings, solid files, manuals or other specifications, to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements;
    • Setting up and operating conventional and special-purpose machines and machining centers to assist in the manufacture of injection molds and related fixtures;
    • Verifying conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.

    Qualifications:

    Toolmaker/Machinist Owasso, OK

    We are searching for an experienced Machinist to become part of our mold making team. The ideal candidate for this Machinist position will know their way around a tool shop, be able to read and accurately interpret prints and specifications and be able to work with minimal supervision. The successful employee will have experience that enables them to understand the tool design and redesign needs of our customers and to be able to provide input as the job evolves. In addition to advanced technical skill, the best candidate will also have supervision experience.

    Our long-term plan for this individual is that they spend a month in the Broken Arrow, OK headquarters facility working under our tool shop manager learning our quality expectations, standards and processes before promoting to our Owasso, OK facility to set up a tool shop at that location.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (Nc) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts;
    • Studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements;
    • Running machine to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting machine controls or control media as required;
    • Verifying conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.

    Candidates must have at least five years of experience in a manufacturing job shop as a machinist/toolmaker.

    Job Summary

    The Press Machine Operator is responsible for operating and tending to the press machines to mold, shape and form rubber components. The ideal candidate is responsible, dedicated and hard-working. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

    Individuals in this position stand for long periods of time, perform some moderate lifting and must be able to push/pull.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Review job documents for details and instructions to determine procedures and settings for pressing rubber components
    • Load rubber components on to as many as six (6) molds
    • Monitor press machine operation and observe lights and gauges in order to detect press machine malfunctions
    • Notify supervisors when rubber component and or molds don’t meet standards
    • Provide the quality inspector with sample of finished product and make adjustments to mold as recommended by the production supervisor
    • Clean excess product from press machine molds as needed, using various tools such as routers, single edge blades, screw drivers, air hose and solutions such as water and soap with water

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Ability to understand instructions and to convey information to others effectively
    • Basic reading, writing and math skills
    • Basic computer skills to enter data from processed orders

    Rubber Mill Operator Broken Arrow, OK

    Job Summary

    The Mill Operator sets up, operates and tends milling machines to mix, mill and shape rubber material for molding. The mill operator uses job travelers and other documentation for specifications and conformance. This position works closely with plant chemists to ensure proper chemicals, dyes, creams, oils and other components are properly used when preparing to mill rubber material. The shift hours for this position are 5:00 am – 1:00 pm.

    Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful but if you are a good worker willing to help out the team, we will train you.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Reads and interprets job travelers to assess specifications and to determine mixing and material instructions needed to mill rubber components
    • Observes the milling machine operation and adjusts controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerances such as mill speed, lubrication and density
    • Continuously tends the machine and the material, often feeding material back into the rollers and sometimes adding components until the material reaches proper consistency
    • Verifies dimensions of rubber material using various instruments such as rulers, gauges and calipers
    • Delivers samples to the on-site lab for testing, as necessary
    • Removes rubber material and places it according to instructions on racks in the mill room or cold storage

    Job Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred
    • Some data entry of job information into the computer
    • The Mill Operator must be able to lift, push and pull up to 60 pounds, stand continuously, tolerate a non-controlled temperature environment, and interpret and communicate detailed instructions and measurements

    Job Summary

    The Product Inspector is responsible for inspecting, sorting and weighing manufactured rubber components in various shapes and sizes. Uses microscope, magnifying glass and various other hand tools such as tweezers, scissors and q-tips. Wage increases available after 30 days and 6 months for strong work performance.

    1st shift (7:00am – 3:00pm) Monday – Friday

    Duties & Essential Job Functions

    • Inspect manufactured products for conformance to specifications
    • Separate components with defects including but not limited to cracks, marks, holes, tears and contamination
    • Notify supervisor of excessive defects on any particular component
    • Document accepted/rejected counts on product paperwork
