Mold Construction

Da/Pro has in-house tooling capabilities at our California, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts facilities. We also work hand in hand with tooling partners across the world. Da/Pro engineers design precision tooling that is capable of manufacturing tight tolerance, high quality parts. We work with only the best A2 steel ensuring durability and longevity.

Da/Pro designs prototype tools that are capable of being worked into production tools after the finalization of the design. While these tools are more expensive than aluminum prototype tools, they may serve as additional cavities for production runs and reduce the costs of the final production tool. Producing prototype parts that are capable of passing functionality tests for the final component is especially important in the medical device industry. Many times, prototype components that just resemble the look and feel are not sufficient for the aggressive testing that medical device components go through.

Da/Pro has designed compression tooling for parts as small as .00029 grams and .0011 ID x .0029 OD with mass production that contains over 390 cavities to parts as large as 24 inches in diameter. Our Da/Pro Process allows us to run different rubber part configurations in the same compression molding production cycle reducing the tooling and associated costs. Our expertise in mold construction allows us to design and build injection molding tooling to produce high quality, tight tolerance parts.
