Da/Pro Rubber Expands LIM Services in State-of-Art, High Tech Facility

Tulsa, OK – Da/Pro Rubber, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of its new 40,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, which will expand services in the United States. Owasso Oklahoma’s Cherokee Industrial Park is the chosen location. Cherokee Industrial Park is 20 minutes from the Da/Pro Headquarters in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and offers convenient access to the airport for visiting customers. The new facility will house the liquid injection molding services ( LIM ) as well as additional compression molding activities. Approximately 20 – 100 new jobs will be generated by the additional location.

Da/Pro Rubber’s President, Gretchen Brauninger states, “The new facility will allow us to accommodate our current growing customer base and the growing demand for new LIM projects. Da/Pro’s continuing dedication to quality and service will be continued at the new facility.”

The new facility will allow all LIM activities to be under one roof and the concentration of LIM engineers and chemist as well as tooling specialist to collaborate on the best practices and services for this specialized molding process. The Owasso facility will operate under ISO 9001:2000 standards and will begin the certification process immediately. Future growth includes a class 10,000 clean room focused on LIM component manufacturing and high-tech molding and inspection capabilities.

Da/Pro Rubber’s 35,000 sq ft. facility in Broken Arrow will remain the corporate headquarters and continue the manufacture of custom compression and transfer molded components. The Broken Arrow location is ISO 9001:200 certified and offers a 5,000 sq ft Class 10,000 clean room. Da/Pro Rubber, Inc. also has facilities located in Valencia, California, Newburyport, Massachusetts and Singapore.

Gretchen Brauninger promoted to President of DA/Pro Rubber

Charles Daubenberger Sr., who developed a unique low-pressure press for compression molding rubber, founded Da/Pro Rubber, Inc. in 1960. This development of the Da/Pro Process, allowed Da/Pro Rubber to offer precision, virtually flash free molding of elastomers to its customers. Starting from a site in Santa Monica, CA, the company moved to Van Nuys in 1966. As sales grew, the company opened a manufacturing facility in Tulsa, OK in 1976. In 1991 the company expanded its manufacturing capabilities to Asia with a manufacturing facility in Singapore and in 2006 added Plastic and TPE molding capabilities.

C.B. Daubenberger Jr. served as President of Da/Pro Rubber, Inc. until 2006. He now serves as Chairman of the Board and participates in business development at Da/Pro. Gretchen Brauninger assumed the role of President after serving 5 years as Executive Vice President and over 15 years in other roles within the company.

Gretchen Brauninger plans to take the company to the next level. Future plans include building a new facility to accommodate the growing liquid injection molding business, implementing a state of the art, global ERP system, and expanding Da/Pro’s global presence.

Da/Pro Rubber, Inc., a custom rubber molding company since 1960, announced today the expansion of their custom elastomer molding capabilities.

The new facility is located in Massachusetts and provides Da/Pro customers with expanded services and personnel with over 40 years combined experience in the plastic/TPE molding field. Chuck Daubenberger, President of Da/Pro Rubber, Inc., “ We were looking to provide our customer base with plastic molding solutions and continue to increase our service capabilities. We saw this opportunity as a chance to offer the kind of services that live up to the quality that the Da/Pro brand represents.”

Da/Pro’s new Northeast plant has 12 injection molding machines providing molding of commodity and engineered thermoplastics, TPE, insert molding/over molding, cable connector over-molding and more. Da/Pro Northeast has the same dedication to quality manufacturing and service as all Da/Pro’s locations. The new facility will offer value-added services that include: rapid prototyping, hot stamping, sub-assembly, special packaging, mold making and more.
